Job Description
At Custom Closets of Houston, we help families reclaim their homes from clutter – turning the spaces they used to dread into the ones they’re proud to show off. Our design consultants don’t just sell closets; they solve real problems, from the chaotic primary closet to the garage no one can park in, and they get to see the relief on a client’s face when it all comes together.
We’re looking for Design Consultants who light up at a well-designed space and enjoy the puzzle of making someone else’s space work harder for them. If you love meeting new people, have a natural eye for design, and thrive when your income reflects your effort – we’d love to hear from you.
Requirements
- Proven sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding quotas (in-home sales, interior design sales, home improvement, or similar consultative environments preferred)
- Background in interior design, home improvement, cabinetry, or closet design is a plus
- Direct experience with a custom closet or home organization company is a huge advantage
- Proficiency with Windows and CRM software
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Curiosity and commitment to improving your craft
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-home design consultations with pre-qualified clients across the Greater Houston area
- Create custom home organization solutions — closets, pantries, home offices, garages, laundry rooms, and more
- Use provided design software to render and present professional 3D designs
- Manage your sales pipeline and client follow-up using the company’s CRM system
- Build long-term relationships that generate referrals and repeat business
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience from first consultation through installation
Additional Info
- Full-time, Monday through Friday
- Occasional weekends as needed
- Flexibility to manage appointments and client consultations
